Getting Ready for August Classes at The Lucky Rabbit!

It's been really busy over at the "Gunion House" since the last market at The Lucky Rabbit. Lisa and the boys were here for two weeks and we had a fabulous time. A four year old and a two year old sure need special entertaining when at Nana and Buddy's house.

This was one day's activity; we rode (well they rode and I drove) the lawn mower all over the property. Lisa played with her phone and a app called "Framatic" that's how she did the picture. Cute, huh? I'm going to play with the app when I get some time because I love all that it will do.

When Matt arrived to retrieve his little family, Lisa and I were able to do what we do best - shopping.

Now everything you need for special little people is tucked away until the next visit and I've been busy in my art room. I'm really getting excited about the classes for August.

I'll have lots of new product in my space - new stamps and Ranger! I'll be posting pictures for the classes in the next few days, so please check back.

Thanks for spending time to come to my little blog!

June Classes at The Lucky Rabbit

Super excited about the June classes scheduled at The Lucky Rabbit. The morning class (June 8th - 10:00 until noon) is a really cute Recipe Book - just in time for the summer family and friend get-togethers.
We will use great papers from Echo Park Papers to create this super functional recipe book. The six divided sections are made from envelopes, the perfect place to store those loose pieces of paper that have those family secret recipes jotted on them.

The cost of this 2 hour class is $35.00 - please message me or Abby at The Lucky Rabbit Facebook page for your reservation to this class - remember seating is limited.

I'm still working on the cards for the Monthly Card Class (June 8th - 2:00 until 3:30), but I'll post pictures of those later today.

Thanks for stopping by and check back later to see the fabulous card samples!

Busy Busy Times...

Since my last post I've been as busy a bee!
In February I went with Ken to Las Vegas - his trip business and my trip strictly pleasure! We finished up that trip with a visit with those wonderful Grands in Houston (enjoyed their mom's and dad's too).
One of the best things going on in my life is my association with The Lucky Rabbit in Hattiesburg, MS. I was accepted as a vendor in February. The markets are once a month but I'm spending lots of time getting ready for the classes that I'm teaching there.
Those of you that know me well, certainly knows that I'm doing paper crafting and of course, rubber stamps! I have some really great stamps and supplies as well as some "gifty" items including garden flags. (My new business is "Artful Expressions" which just may describe my space perfectly)
I'm having a great time with new venture - The Lucky Rabbit is a wonderful place; its one that's very hard to describe, very eclectic mix. You should follow The Lucky Rabbit on Facebook, Abby (the owner) has fabulous photos and keeps all the market dates posted; BUT you really should plan a visit to  The Lucky Rabbit soon!

I'll add more photos of my space...the space is every changing and evolving. This photo was taken right before the first market. The next market is Thursday, May 2 through Sunday, May 5th.

I'm teaching two classes for the May market, please watch for the details!

Shame on me!

I just don't seem to have the hang of this blogging stuff yet! Made some really nice Christmas cards and didn't post them - let alone even tell you about them. Lisa (the youngest daughter) said I should be blogging every day, just like journaling.
It seems sort of silly to post the directions for the Christmas cards now, but I did come up with a pretty cool way to antique the card. It was one of those " happy accidents".
I had Jumbo Java VersaMagic ink on a Jumbo Dauber (both from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko and my personal favorite for distressing the edges of paper because of the chalk finish) I ink up the dauber and then swirl off most of the color and then swirl onto the paper of my project. Anyway, I thought that the card needed a little "gold" so I pulled out my Delicata (its the Golden Glitz pigment pad from Imagine Crafts/Tsukineko) and intending to use the same technique for the edges. The results were so beautiful I used it on the entire card! Santa's beard has a nice little golden hue. Next time you need some golden antiquing - give it a try.
I'm doing a little more experimenting back in my fabulous craft room! (I need to post pics of that room, I think I've told you before, it's my favorite room)
I LOVE happy accidents. Oh, the fabulous Santa stamp is from Stampendous!
